I'm Late to The Game

I was looking over my blogroll, and noticed that there was a glaring ommision.

Here's a guy who served our country honorably, sat with me at a poker table in the MGM, and a person who I consider a freind, and he was missing a plate of his own.

So here it is:

PTR is Coming to Vegas

June 5th to 8th I'll be in Vegas and drinking, cussing and gambling it will be all business. It will be nice to see old friends and make new ones.

Zeem and I will be staying at the IP, mainly because we like the smell of old socks (not our own).  Also, it's close to the Geisha Bar. And cheap. Very cheap.

1 Year Ago Today

I started driving to Oregon to work. Here is what I posted about it:

 

It begins today.

Tuesday Morning - Drive from WA to OR.

Work 3 days.

Friday Mornings - Drive from OR to WA.

I'll be around.

 

And around I am.

I ended up regular driving down on Monday mornings and driving back up Friday afternoons. Until September. Jesus am I glad that's over with.

I live here now, obviously, and have a year at the new job under my belt. My associate Chris (my boss) is taking me out to lunch today. That's something.

I prefer the 1 mile commute that I have now to the 300-mile commute. Less oil, you know.

I'm only going to work my regular job eight hours today. I'm whooped.

Friends are coming for the weekend down from the Washington, the old stomping grounds.

I didn't realize it, but Pauly and I lived in the Seattle area at the same time back in the 90's. We probably passed each other on the street back then, unfortunately I was too drunk and he was too high to notice. We were both just walking past another person on the way to see other people.

On the PTR front, I'm going to create a little PTR "launch" logo that I'd like you all to display over the next 12 weeks or so. (I'll be asking for your help, dear reader.) The website is going to be very cool and useful to poker players, so Tom and I want everyone to know about it in advance. You ghey poker bloggeres out there are going to have an opportunity to make a little scratch too! (Emphasize "a little".)

Today's Shout Out goes to Pauly: His post about Ikea had me rolling on the floor this morning. I hope he enjoys that pillow.
