Help....My Kid is Being Bullied

Does anyone know how to deal with this situation? We have a blogger in need.

Any type of professional or personal help would be appreciated. Please help her if you can.

I got bullied. Most boys are at some point.

I was a skinny little kid that was easy to push around....all the way up through high school. I credit some of my self-effacing sense of humor to the pressure put on me. If I couldn't laugh with them, I was gonna get beat up.

2 years ago, my brother got suspended from school...

He was telling some kids about the bb gun that he got (part of some Boy Scout crap) and the fort that his friends had built. One of the kids said that he would come and wreck the fort, so my little brother said, "no you won't. I've got a bb gun." He was suspended for 2 days for threatening violence.

Now, I agree that kids cannot be allowed to think that it's ok to threaten anyone... but at the time, my brother was 8 years old and running off at the mouth... he wouldn't actually shoot someone.

However, he was relentlessly bullied (to the extent that the bully would break into my parents' house and steal things) by a kid that the school refused to deal with, because he was "acting out" and "looking for attention" and maybe had "special needs". It's really ridiculous.
