Tom is working furiously on the website (PokerTechReviews.com), and I've helped by creating a logo. (Tom refined it, so it is definitely OUR logo.)
We'd really like to know what you think of the logo design....it comes in red and black, and will be prominently featured on the website, the blog, and other graphics.

We are still looking for advertisers, investors, and even design help. If you have ever met me in person, there is a better than average chance that I will contact you looking for advice, if nothing else. (Just ask Speaker.)
My nine-to-five job (designing buildings) has been kicking my ass lately, but I am fully committed to the PTR project. I should be, as I am financially involved!
I'm currently looking at advertising options and wonder if any of you has tried OpenX, which is an open source advertising tool. The fact that it is free (and, in my opinion, forward thinking) is appealing to a no/low cost start-up project like PTR. Please email me michael - at - pokertechreviews ^^dot^^ com if you know much about it.
My goal is to blog every day about the site, from now until launch. If nothing else, that's something for you to look forward to.
Today's Shout Out goes to Zeem: How you doin' Jimmah!

Yo! Let's catch up soon.

Hey - I give a thumbs up for the new poker logo. Looks good guys. Maybe you could try a red and black mix for the colours. Look forward to seeing the site develop!

Thanks for the observation, Fuel!
I think the font is still strong with the serifs, and gives them just enough softness to not be too blocky. The font alsoin the logo will also correlate with the title text font on the website.
Judge Ito Sidebar: Fuel, you may note that PTR is also half of the letters in the word PRESTO. Does that make PTR half-gold?

Font in logo would be stronger without serifs.
